February meeting

Saturday February 23, 2019 – Heather Dawkins, The Fabric of the Studio
Does your creative space double as a family room…. or as a dining room table? Do you have a room of your own…. or part of a room as your own? Heather Dawkins, an art historian and member of the GVWSG will present images of textiles and creative spaces in order to ask how a variety of ‘studio’ spaces support and shape creativity. She will invite discussion of your experience of the interwoven strands of creativity and craft, of making and imagining, and of self and of others, in the fabric of your ‘studio’.
